HS FOOTBALL RETURNS | High school football starts tonight in West Michigan, but with its fair share of complications. Athletes will be required to wear masks during the games and a handful of kickoffs have been moved up in response to the mosquito-borne virus EEE.

AERO MED VS DRONE | Authorities are searching for the owner of a drone that nearly collided with a Spectrum Health Aero Med helicopter in downtown Grand Rapids. The helicopter was trying to land at Butterworth to pick up a medical team. The drone was in the area illegally and now the FAA is looking for who was operating it.

CHRYSANTHEMUMS AND MORE! | A sure sign of fall in West Michigan is the return of the Chrysanthemums exhibit at the Fredrick Meijer Gardens. It opens today and is the largest of its kind in the state. Displays will include walls of fall foliage and family-friendly activities. The exhibit is open through Nov. 1.

FORECAST | It will feel like fall with cool days, sunny skies, and chilly nights. Sensitive vegetation should be brought indoors. Get the full forecast here.
