POWERFUL STORMS | West Michigan was spared the worst of the heavy storms that moved through the Midway Monday. But, around 12,000 Consumers Energy customers were without power and the hardest hit areas are south of Grand Rapids.

GRPS SCHOOL VOTE | On Monday, the Grand Rapids Public Schools board of education approved a plan that will allow the district to go online only starting on Aug. 25.  GRPS leaders say virtual learning will look different than it did in the spring with mandatory attendance and evaluations.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL UNCERTAIN | The fate of college football this fall is still uncertain. According to multiple reports, the Big Ten's presidents have voted to cancel its upcoming college football season amid concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. An official announcement regarding the cancellation is expected Tuesday.
