BIG TEN UPDATE | The Big Ten and Pac-12 won't play football this fall because of concerns about COVID-19, taking two of college football's five power conferences out of a crumbling season amid the pandemic. HOPE MOVE-IN | Incoming freshman will arrive at Hope College Wednesday to begin moving onto campus -- a full two weeks earlier than usual in hopes of limiting the impact of COVID-19 on the campus. GRPD REFORM | Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Payne has formally presented his plan to transform policing to city leaders. The plan is focused around neighborhood policing, and would work to find alternative ways to respond to certain calls that don't require officers. Community reaction was mixed at Tuesday night's city commission meeting.
