BACK TO SCHOOL | More West Michigan school district start the academic year this week, whether it be online or in person. Muskegon Public Schools starts classes Wednesday -- all of which will happen online. Other districts starting today include Kenowa Hills, Ravenna, Hamilton Community Schools. Here's a list of where to find each school's back-to-school plan. 

COLLEGES & COVID-19 | West Michigan colleges are also taking steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially as students head back to campus for the start of the semester. Ferris State students begin moving in today. GVSU Greek Life organizations have agreed to hold no social gatherings. 

HURRICANE LAURA | Hurricane Laura is getting stronger. Right now, Laura is a category 2 hurricane with winds at 105 mph and will continue to get stronger as it moves through the Gulf of Mexico. It is expected to be a category 3 storm before landfall late tonight into Thursday morning.

RNC RECAP | President Trump turned to family, farmers and the trappings of the presidency to boost his reelection chances on the second night of the RNC. The convention continues Wednesday night, headlined by an address from Vice President Mike Pence, as well as Karen Pence and Advisor Kellyanne Conway -- just days before she is set to leave the White House.

FORECAST | Sunshine returns for Wednesday and Thursday leading to steamy conditions before storms roll in Thursday night through Friday night. Get the full forecast here.
