Whether you're looking for an activity for the family to enjoy, or a sharpening your kitchen skills, the cooking classes at The Local Epicurean are a great time for all.

"The most important thing that we want to achieve here is that food is fun, and it's easy," said co-owner Ryan Raredon. "Don't be intimidated by it."

Dozens of classes are offered, from basic pasta making to three-course meals.

"We started out with trying to teach people how to do what we do. We call it Pasta 101," said Raredon. "Recently we've also started to dabble into the next step, so you don't necessarily come in and make pasta from scratch. You'll come in and help us make a large chunk of pasta that a big group of people can enjoy."

The Local Epicurean sells homemade pasta in many unique flavors. They also carry other food items.
