Brioche Bread Pudding French Toast
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
- 20 oz Brioche Hamburger Buns (or whatever brioche bread you can find)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325˚F.
- In a large bowl, gently tear up brioche buns/bread into 1 inch pieces.
- Toss brioche pieces with cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, beat eggs until well mixed. Add milk and vanilla and stir well to combine.
- Gently toss milk and egg custard with cinnamon brioche pieces until all the milk has absorbed. If it seems a little dry add ¼ cup milk until all the bread is moist.
- Spray a 9x13 cake pan with non-stick spray and pour bread pudding pieces into the pan. Distribute evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool.
- Cut into pieces and sear in a sauté pan over medium high heat.
- Serve with berries or maple syrup. *note: great make ahead dish*
