Community farm owner shares tips to beat the heat in your garden

You can help your plants get through the hot summer days with some simple tricks of the trade.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - With several 90+ degree days behind us already this year, you may be wondering how to help keep your plants from getting too much of the hot sun. Levi Gardener from Urban Roots joined us in studio to give us some pointers on how to beat the heat.

Urban Roots is a community farm that supplies local restaurants with fresh ingredients for their dishes, as well as an education center in the city of Grand Rapids. It was started in 2015 at 1316 Madison Ave. SE.
