This is the Gable Family. The two boys you see there are twins, Max and Miles. Both are five-year-olds. They were also both born premature and with Cerebral Palsy.
Earlier this year, their mother, Kim, reached out on Facebook to see if anyone could lend them a portable wheelchair ramp -- just to get them through the winter.
To Kim's great surprise, the community came through -- and in a big way. She said she got dozens donations and offers from people willing to give or build them a ramp. Eventually, Bouma Construction out of Grand Rapids showed up and built one for them.
Kim said afterwards, "They say it takes a village to raise a child. It takes more than a village to raise two children with special needs. I can never thank you all enough. My heart is overflowing!"
