One Good Thing: Crash's Landing and Big Sid's Sanctuary

The non-profit takes in high-risk stray cats.

GRAND RAPIDS - To start the week off, I have a father who wants to recognize the work his daughter does with her non-profit to help cats.

Dr. Jennifer Denyes runs Crash's Landing, Big Sid's Sanctuary. It's a feline rescue specializing in at-risk stray cats. It started with an 8-week-old, which had been hit by a car and made a miraculous recovery. That's Crash.

Today, she and her volunteers take strays off the streets and give them care in their free-roaming facility until they can find permanent homes. Now, they are a non-profit. So, there's a limit to how many cats they can take in. They're always looking for donations...or people who can donate their time.

I grew up a cat person, myself. So, I really appreciate what Dr. Jen and her team are doing. Crash's Landing, Big Sid's Sanctuary get today's One Good Thing.
