GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - School is starting up! Sorry, kids. But, there is good news: thousands of students now have the supplies they need because of a recent "Stuff the Bus" campaign.

The Heart of West Michigan United Way partnered with multiple companies to hand out supplies to students at 20 different schools throughout five different districts. Originally, they aimed for 50,000 supplies. But, when all the donations came in, they had close 75,000 items to distribute, equaling around $95,000 in value!

Special shout-out to Farmers Insurance who collected 60,000 items on their own.

All items were doled out last week.

Starting school every fall is hard enough -- more so when you don't have the supplies you need. One Good Thing to Heart of West Michigan United Way and everyone who donated and helped them.
