Gerald Love was answering a late night call to help a stranded driver when he was shot Nov. 13.
Police believe he was targeted and still looking for the suspect responsible for his death.
On Saturday, Nov. 25, there will be a viewing at 10 a.m.and a funeral at 11 a.m. -- both at the Lifequest Urban Outreach Center Church on Fisk Street.
A procession of tow trucks will lead Love's body to his final resting place at the Woodlawn Cemetery on Kalamazoo Street.
Really moving tribute to Gerald Love, who was shot while on a call as a tow truck driver earlier this month. Dozens of tow trucks were in the processional to his final resting place. @wzzm13 pic.twitter.com/e0w3DS6omg— Meredith TerHaar (@MeredithTerHaar) November 25, 2017
This is not the first procession of tow trucks in Love's honor. Not long after news of his death, an owner of another towing company reached out to fellow tow companies to find a way to show support for their fallen comrade.
