SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. - Veterans and first responders were honored in South Haven on Saturday.
The seventh annual Salute to Veterans and First Responders took place on Lake Michigan. After a morning fishing, the veterans and responders returned to shore and were greeted by a crowd waving flags on both sides on the pier.
The South Haven High School Purple Pride band participated in the celebration. There was also a flyover of T-34 warplanes and a 21-gun salute by the American Legion honor guard.
