GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - In this edition of Adopt-A-Pet, we get to meet Chai!
Emily Jordan from the Humane Society of West Michigan came by the studio with Chai.
Chai is an energetic, but very loving, 4-month-old Terrier mix. Chai came to HSWM as a stray earlier this month.
Emily also shared some upcoming events through HSWM:
Puppies on the Patio
Big E's Sports Grill will be celebrating Adopt a Shelter Pet Day on Tuesday, April 30 from 4 until 7 p.m. at both their East Beltline and downtown Grand Rapids locations. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to help more animals get adopted.
BISSELL Empty the Shelters
All adoptions will be $25 on May 4. The Humane Society will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. for the event. Anyone interested in adopting will need to complete an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor before they are approved -- which can be done prior to the event.
- Dog licenses must be purchased for all Kent County residents at an additional cost.
- Puppies & kittens will not be available for adoption this day.
- Purchase of 6 months of heartworm prevention medication is required for all heartworm positive dogs.
- It is helpful to know the name of the animal you want to visit prior to the event. Check our website: www.hswestmi.org/adoptableanimals
