GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — We night not have much snow on the ground in West Michigan, but the organizers of WinterWest aren't letting that slow them down. The annual festival usually involves fun snow activities. This year, there has been a bit of a change in plans, but the event will still include winter fun.

Instead of sledding in cardboard sleds, there will be a parade where people can vote for their favorite, and rather than snowshoeing, participants can go on a Tree ID walk.

WinterWest starts at 1 a.m. on Saturday, January 12. It lasts until noon on Saturday. You can keep an eye on any updates on Facebook
