Try It Before You Buy It: MakeUp Eraser

We try out the MakeUp Eraser: It claims to be the #1 sustainable makeup remover, that is simply powered by water. Does it work? We Try It Before You Buy It!

Looking for a fast and easy way to remove your makeup without any harsh chemicals?

That is what the MakeUp Eraser claims it can do while replacing thousands of makeup wipes in the process.

But to test this twenty-dollar product properly, we are comparing it with a fifty-cent microfiber cloth. So, is it worth your money?

Let us try it before you buy it!

The MakeUp Eraser is a soft cloth that can be reused multiple times after a quick wash. So, per the instructions, we ran it through the washer, and we also washed the cheap microfiber cloth as well. The cheap microfiber seemed to attract lint in the dryer, but the MakeUp Eraser looked the same as it did before washing.

First, we applied a little water to the makeup eraser, and like magic, the makeup came off. Even the tricky mascara around the eyes was no match for this cloth. In a matter of about a minute, we had one side of the face cleaned. It was quite impressive.

But how will this compare to a cheaper cloth?

We wet the microfiber cloth and repeated the same process as before. As before, the makeup came off immediately. Still, with one noticeable difference, it was not as soft and comfortable to the skin. It was a bit scratchy feeling. And when it came to the mascara around the eyes, it took a little more elbow grease to get it to clean up.

After a bit more scrubbing and time, we got all the makeup off, and when comparing the sides, they looked identical.

So, verdict:

The MakeUp Eraser lives up to its claims and gets a solid thumbs up when comparing it to a cheaper cloth, and you can see the extra money is worth it for the comfort and that it will not attract lint in the dryer

So, this is a buy it!
