Calvin University approved as vaccine site

Calvin University will soon be a place that people can go to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Calvin University will soon be a place that people can go to get the covid-19 vaccine.

On Friday the university announced  that it has been approved as a vaccination site by the Michigan Department of Health and Human services.

"We're excited because we received news this week that we are the first higher education institution in our health services department to be granted authorization to become a vaccination site for COVID vaccine," says Dr. Sarah Visser.

As doses of the vaccine become available, eligible people who have registered to get it will be contacted to make an appointment.

That's when Calvin will be listed as a place to get it.  Now they're just waiting for the vaccines.
