Case delayed in death of 10-month-old Solon Township girl

"Our clients are very, very grief stricken," said Welch's attorney, Lesley Kranenberg.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. - The attorneys, who are representing the parents charged with the death of their baby girl, agreed to delay a probable cause hearing Monday morning.

Seth Welch and Tatiana Fusari are charged with the death of their 10-month-old Mary Anne Welch, an autopsy ruled she died from dehydration and malnutrition.

"Our clients are very, very grief stricken," said Welch's attorney, Lesley Kranenberg.

Both Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker and Welch and Fusari's defense attorneys agreed to postpone the hearing by 8 weeks. The extra time will allow for each side to continue building their cases.

They will appear back in court October 10 at 9 a.m.
