'Lets go to Bat for Kids' returns to Fifth Third Ballpark

The game features local media personalities taking on priest from the Diocese of Grand Rapids.

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. - It's one of the most important games of the year at Fifth Third Ballpark, and it doesn't include the Whitecaps.

We're talking about the "Let's Go to Bat for Kids" softball game for Catholic Charities West Michigan.

The game features local media personalities taking on priests from the Diocese of Grand Rapids. The local media team featured 13 ON YOUR SIDE anchor Nick LaFave, Sports Director Jamal Spencer and Meteorologist Laura Hartman.

The game was umpired by Judge Sara Smolenski.

The media All-Stars were able to take home the W by a score of 7-2.

The money raised goes to the charities' foster care and adoption program which helped nearly 500 at-risk children last year.
