'The Deaf Ninja' visits Grand Rapids

Kyle Schulze taught the kids ninja strategies he uses while conquering major obstacles.

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan — Kids in Grand Rapids got the opportunity to meet a real life ninja on Friday. 

Kyle Schulze has received national attention for his ninja skills, and he also happens to be deaf.

He goes by the name "The Deaf Ninja," and he talked with local kids about how he overcame obstacles presented by is hearing loss and how he became a successful athlete. 

“My message for these kids is that it’s okay to fail. It’s okay to struggle and have hardship, but to understand if you have a goal, really just keep working for it. And you will be successful, but you have to believe in yourself, and keep working at it. And have heart, and meet those obstacles,” said Kyle Schulze.

Schulze visited Grand Rapids Gymnastics. He also taught the kids ninja strategies he uses while conquering major obstacles.
