Nolin fled the scene and led police on a chase that began in Wyoming and ended on Northbound U.S. 131's S-curve. Nolin crashed his truck into the median before getting out of his car and running down the highway with a gun in hand. A brief shootout ensued before a GRPD cruiser took Nolin out. Witnesses nearby said they heard at least three shots fired, and officers were seen marking the location of multiple shell casings just under the S-curve.
