A reward is now being offered for information that will lead to the arrest in a fire bombing of a house near Idlewild.

According to authorities, the fire happened around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, April 27 on S. Broadway Street.

Sheriff Richard Martin said that as many as four Molotov cocktails were found in and around the home. The family was able to get out of the house safely but authorities say their home and the contents were destroyed. According authorities, the device narrowly missed a 5-year-old girl who was sleeping in her bed at the time.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Lake County Sheriff's office and Michigan Arson Prevention Committee are offering the reward.

ATF is offering the amount of up to $5,000, which will be matched by the MAPC for a total reward of up to $10,000.
