Couple poses as store management and steals money, deputies say

Deputies in Kent County are asking for your help to locate two suspects they say have been fraudulently obtaining money from gas stations. According to the Kent County Sheriff''s Office the couple typically enters the gas station and convinces the clerk they are management, and takes the money from the till.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. - Deputies in Kent County are asking for your help to locate two suspects they say have been fraudulently obtaining money from gas stations.

According to the Kent County Sheriff''s Office the couple typically enters the gas station and convinces the clerk they are management, and takes the money from the till.

Deputies say the pair has pulled this fraud throughout Kent County and as far north as Morley.

Bradley Johnson, 33, and Tauna Parfait, 33, both have have felony warrants for their arrests. Deputies say substance abuse is a suspected factor in the crime spree.

On Dec.10, 2018, officers located the couple in a truck in southern Kent County. Deputies say the suspects didn't listen to commands and Johnson rammed a patrol vehicle. The two left the scene at a high rate of speed, according to the department.

They are believed to be driving a gold 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500, plate: DYZ5686. It has a black bumper and loud exhaust.
