GRPD searching for two armed robbery suspects that shot man in vehicle

Authorities said the victim is expected to survive.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police in Grand Rapids are searching for two armed robbery suspect that shot a man while he was inside a vehicle Tuesday morning. 

It happened around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Cutler St. SW and Division Ave. S. 

According to Grand Rapids Police, at least two people were inside a vehicle in a parking lot in the area when two suspects approached them and robbed them at gunpoint. 

During the robbery, a 40-year-old man inside the vehicle was shot in the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital by an ambulance, but GRPD said his injuries do not appear life-threatening.
