Police called to robbery at payday lender store in Fremont

Officers were called to a robbery call at a payday lender store in Fremont. A dispatcher with Newaygo County said a call of a robbery at Allied Cash Advance on the 1,000 block of W Main St.

FREMONT, Mich. - Officers were called to a robbery call at a payday lender store in Fremont.

A dispatcher with Newaygo County said a call of a robbery at Allied Cash Advance on the 1,000 block of W Main St. in Fremont came in around 4:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13.

There have been a string of payday lender store robberies across West Michigan in recent weeks and police say this suspect matched the description of the other robberies.

The suspect in the surveillance video was wearing a University of Michigan hoodie, black ski mask and dark sunglasses. He is described as a white man in his mid-to-late 30s who is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8.

Fremont Police say no one was hurt and the suspect fled the area in a newer black four-door Buick.
