Two men were arrested Sunday, March 11, after deputies found nearly 50 pieces of suspected stolen property in their possession.
According to the Ludington Daily News, the incident occurred at 3:11 p.m. in the 6900 block of Lake Street in Branch Township. Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a report of breaking and entering at a residence in the Tallman Lake area.
Mason County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Matt Moss and Mason County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jeremy King responded to the call and found three additional break-ins of cabins in the same area.
Moss and King followed foot steps for about a half mile to another home, where the two suspects were located, police said.
Lee Hamilton Colby, 34, and Chad Fredrick Collins, 26, both from Fountain, remain lodged at the Mason County Jail.
