OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. — A snowmobile stolen from the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex has been found. According to the Oceana County Sheriff, shortly after 4 p.m. Friday, deputies received a call from the suspect's mother, who had heard about the stolen snowmobile on the news.
When deputies arrived at her Fremont residence, they found the stolen snowmobile. The Oceana County Sheriff said the suspect admitted to pulling it away from the stolen location. Deputies are aware of a potential substance abuse issue. The 37-year-old suspect was then arrested by Fremont police for an outstanding fraud warrant.
The snowmobile is in good condition, and will likely be returned to its owner after prosecutor review. The Oceana County Sheriff said they're expecting updated from the prosecuting attorney's office soon.
