ONLINE SPORTS BETTING | The launch of online sports betting and gaming is at noon on Friday. Companies including MGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel say they are prepared for it. It's estimated to bring roughly $20 million a year in tax revenue to the state, much of which is earmarked for schools.
BIDEN'S NEW EXECUTIVE ORDERS | President Joe Biden is expected to sign two more executive orders Friday. The two executive orders would increase food aid, protect job seekers on unemployment and clear a path for federal workers and contractors to get a $15 hourly minimum wage.
RITE AID EXPANDS TESTING | Rite Aid announced an additional 60 locations will now host no-charge COVID-19 testing, and all sites, new and existing, will allow everyone ages four and older to receive tests. One location included in the expansion is in Kentwood.
