GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — With nearly 10 years under her belt, librarian Becca VanWeerdhuizen has been expanding the minds of West Ottawa students. 

She's working with teachers to take a unique approach to bringing books back into the classroom and recently, she's been named Michigan's Librarian of the year. 

She stopped by 13 ON YOUR SIDE AT NOON to talk about her teaching techniques and how she is getting books back into the the classroom.
