GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) - When it comes to treating breast cancer, there are new treatments being developed all the time.

One of the latest ones is offered at Mercy Health Saint Mary's in Grand Rapids. It's called SAVI, and can take as little as five days.

Dr. Gil Padula, Medical Director of Technology and Innovation at Mercy Health Lacks Cancer Center, talks with WZZM Health Reporter Valerie Lego about how SAVI delivers a form of accelerated partial breast radiation from inside the breast through an applicator.
