Celebrate cancer fighters & survivors with Spectrum Health

The event will include art, music, refreshments and treats.

This past Sunday was National Cancer Survivors Day, an annual, treasured celebration for those who have survived, an inspiration for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of support for families and an outreach to the community.

Deb Bisel, Manager for Cancer Program Compliance, and Susanne Pettigrew, Physician Assistant and program lead for Spectrum Health Cancer Center’s Survivorship Clinic, stopped by to talk about survivorship and how Spectrum Health is celebrating Cancer Survivors this year.

On Wednesday, June 6, the Spectrum Health Cancer Center will host Cancer Survivors Day. Attendees may visit the center between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to celebrate with others who are survivors, family members and friends. The event will include art, music, refreshments and treats. The Lilly Oncology On Canvas art exhibit will be on display throughout the building. Relaxation therapy, health tips and community resources will also be available. Free self-parking is available in Ramp 3 off Michigan Street. Parking validation is at the reception desk on Level 1 and in the Library on Level 3. You can find an extended list of details here.
