Deputies: 1 person is in custody after a stabbing homicide in Kalamazoo

One person has been arrested in connection to the incident, but authorities say they will continue to investigate.

KALAMZOO, Mich. - Authorities are investigating a stabbing homicide that happened early Sunday morning.

According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office, around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, deputies responded to a call about a person being stabbed on Concord Place Drive, within the Concord Apartments in Kalamazoo.

Responding deputies found a 27-year-old man outside suffering from injuries consistent with a stabbing. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

KCSO says a 36-year-old Kalamazoo man has been arrested in connection with this incident and there is no additional threat to residents in the area.
