ADA, Mich. - A well-known restaurant in Ada is celebrating its new home. The new Zeytin Turkish Restaurant opened its doors on August 2, 2018. Zeytin is a key part of the ongoing Envision Ada redevelopment project.

The New Zeytin is located at 7437 River Street, a new road that was built as part of the transformation of Ada. The building is just around the corner from the site Zeytin called home for more than a decade.

The new restaurant is part of a two-story facility and has 40-percent more space and also features two outdoor patios, a large full-service bar and additional rooms for group events. The interior features the signature décor that Zeytin is known for, including hand-made Oriental rug cushions and Turkish music.

“It’s a dream come true to show off our new home to our customers,” said owner, U. Turan. “We love being part of this community and are excited to have this bright, welcoming space for them to come and eat and drink with us,” he added.

Zeytin has built a large, following of devoted fans through signature items like its shish kebab, made with fresh meats such as lamb, beef and chicken. Zeytin offers a full menu, featuring 16 different appetizers and 22 entrees, most of which are made in-house from scratch with fresh ingredients.

“Zeytin is a well-known business and the township is thrilled they’ve been able to grow in unison with us,” said Ada Township Supervisor George Haga. “Zeytin is the type of unique, locally-owned business that helps make Ada a special and vibrant community.”

Erhardt Construction built the building, which was designed by Dixon Architecture, with interior design contributed by Rick Whallon Design. Construction started in fall 2017. Zeytin Turkish Restaurant occupies the first floor and the second floor consists of office space that is available for lease.

“We appreciate our customers’ patience over the last year as we worked to build a bigger and better Zeytin. While our building has changed, our high-quality food and service have not, and we invite everyone to come see for themselves,” said Turan.
