Eat your way through ArtPrize with stops near the Top 20

Spending time enjoying ArtPrize means dealing with a lot of crowds and a lot of calories burned. Jennifer Pascua tells you where you can get your food to fuel up as you head out.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Surviving ArtPrize takes sustenance -- so, we turn to our newsroom food expert, 13 ON YOUR SIDE's Jennifer Pascua for some suggestions.

First, the downtown Biggby. There you can grab some coffee and check out "The Michigan Effect." From the cafe, you can easily head to the Amway Grand Plaza and DeVos Place where four of the Top 20 Finalists are located. If you need some appetizers to get you through your ArtPrizin', then walk to the nearby JW Marriott where you can view "Champions" and eat like one too inside six.one.six.

From here, you can make your way to the Gillett Bridge and make stops inside the Public Museum of Grand Rapids, Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum and Ah-Nab-Awen where the three venues play host to six more ArtPrize finalists. If getting a little of this, and a little of that is more your thing, then The B.O.B. may be the place for you. That is where food trucks are parked -- and inside, two finalists are vying for your vote.

The Grand Rapids Art Museum is right around the corner and features two more finalists. Then, if you need a little break, sit down at the bar at One Trick Pony for a meal or some beverages. The Harris Building and First Congregational Church aren't too far away to stop in an enjoy two more finalists.

By now, you'll probably need something a little sweet. Bangkok Taste on Jefferson Street offers the unique dessert known as Rolled Ice Cream.
