On a quiet street in Allendale, one woman created a little bit of hope.

"I truly believe in God," Katie Hughes, said. "So he kind of put this idea in my head a few months back and just really felt him calling me to go ahead and put it into practice, so I did."

Katie Hughes has turned her front porch into a one-stop-shop for anyone that needs it. Its filled with canned food, diapers, coats, and shoes.

"I've been blessed. I have a great job that I absolutely love that makes my ends meet for the most part. I have a family that helps me out tremendously, so the least I can do is give just a little bit of what I have to those that might not have or blessed as much as I am," she said.

This little pantry sits at the corner of her front porch on Jordan Street open 24/7, no questions asked.

"Hopefully people will utilize this especially over this coming month when kids are out of school and they just need a little extra help."

Hughes is more than willing to take your donations if anyone else is in the giving spirit.

"I can't necessarily keep it all stocked if it starts taking off. But anyone can stop by anytime its always open so they can drop a couple things off."

The address to that pantry is 5216 Jordan Street in Allendale, you can take whatever you need.
