Honor Flight veterans return to West Michigan

A group of Michigan vets returned home Tuesday around 10. They were greeted by family, friends, The Patriot Guard, Blue Star Moms and other volunteers.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The latest group of Honor Flight travelers are back home in Michigan.

Honor Flights send World War Two, Korean War and Vietnam veterans to Washington D.C. free of charge, to see the World War Two Memorial, and other sights.

A group of Michigan vets returned home Tuesday just after 10 pm. They were greeted by family, friends, The Patriot Guard, Blue Star Moms and other volunteers.

Many of these veterans never received a formal welcome home when they initially returned from duty.

Vietnam veteran, Rick Fall was there. He said, "I've had more thanks in the past 24 hours than I think I've had in the past 50 years."

That sentiment was echoed by many of those who were honored on Tuesday.
