DETROIT - Two passengers lifted a vehicle off a friend after a crash disabled their car and he was hit by a passing vehicle, Michigan State Police said.
In a series of tweets, MSP said they responded to a crash on westbound I-94 at Cadieux on Detroit's east-side. A disabled car was blocking the left lane.
Three of the four occupants got out of the car and stood on the left shoulder.
The driver reportedly would not get out of the car, so one of the passengers went back to the car. While standing on the passenger side of the car, he was reportedly struck by another vehicle and pinned underneath it.
The other passengers lifted the vehicle and pulled the man from underneath it.
He was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
Investigation continues by the MSP Metro South Post.
