GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — On Thursday, Grand Haven Main Street announced a new community competition building snowmen...without using snow.
You can enter as an individual or a team. Your snowman can be made out of any type of materials, and either 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional. It must be between 3 to 7 feet tall, and no wider than 36 inches.
Here are the important dates if you want to participate:
- Registration for the contest are due no later than February 1, 2021.
- Your snowman can be dropped off at Grand Haven Main Street at 519 Washington Avenue, no later than Feb. 10. from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- The competition will begin on Saturday Feb. 13, and run through Saturday Feb. 20.
- Winners will be announced Monday, Feb. 22 on Facebook Live.
Organizers also want to remind everyone that the snowmen will be outdoors for over a week, so they should be weather resistant.
