A Muskegon woman is in serious, but stable condition at Mercy Health Hackley Hospital after crashing her car into a guardrail in Ottawa County.

Deputies were called around 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 21 to a rollover crash on Leonard Road near 129th Avenue. That's southwest of Nunica and southeast of Spring Lake.

Investigators say 44-year-old Holly Hays was headed east when her Chevy Monte Carlo went off the right side of the road and hit the end of the guardrail head-on, causing it to flip over.

Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department say they don't know how long she was trapped in the car before someone passing by saw the crash and called 911.

It's also not clear what caused her to veer off the road.
