Four teenagers arrested in Grand Rapids for stealing from gas station

All of the suspects are between 15 to 17 years old, and they were taken to juvenile detention.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Four teenagers were arrested after police say they stole merchandise from a Mobil gas station on Cherry Street and Market Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.

Lt. Patrick Merrill of the Grand Rapids Police said that the teenagers displayed a gun during the incident, which later police found out was a BB gun.

An employee of the gas station said that one of the teenagers had the BB gun tucked in his pants and showed it to her before leaving.

The teenagers fled the gas station by getting onto a Rapid bus. Police stopped the bus on Market Avenue and took the teenagers into custody without incident.

All of the suspects are between 15 to 17 years old, and they were taken to juvenile detention.
