JAMESTOWN CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Hudsonville man is seriously hurt after he was trapped in his vehicle for a half hour following a crash Thursday, April 18.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said the 21-year-old was getting off of Eastbound M-6 just before 3 p.m. He stopped at the stop sign on the 8th Avenue exit ramp, then tried to turn left.

A Holland man driving in the opposite direction was unable to stop to avoid hitting the other vehicle.

The Hudsonville man was pinned in his vehicle for 30 minutes until rescue crews could pull him out. The department reports the man was not wearing his seat belt.

Two passengers in the Holland driver's vehicle also had minor injuries from the crash.

There is no word on if the driver will face any charges.
