Holland police buy coffee for the community to pay it forward

The Holland Department of Public Safety paid it forward on Friday morning and bought coffee for everyone who came into Biggby Coffee on S. Waverly Road.

HOLLAND, Mich. - This holiday season, the Holland Department of Public Safety gave back to their community by serving free coffee to patrons of Biggby Coffee on S. Waverly Road.

The department described the morning as a "pay it forward, Christmas time giving event."

From 6-9 a.m. officers served and bought coffee for everyone who came into the Biggby store.

"This is our way of working with a local business owner, serving the public in a rather non-traditional police role and developing relationships," the department said in a release about the event.

The department teamed up with Biggby in 2017 to also give away free coffee.
