KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Diocese of Kalamazoo says they are investigating a former employee's fraudulent activity in relation to immigration services they provide.

Diocesan officials did not name the employee in the Thursday press release, but say they are working closely with local law enforcement in locating anyone who paid for immigration services that were not provided.

The Diocese says anyone who needs services through the program should contact that office directly or come in during office hours -- they are only available at the main office located at 219 N. Westnedge Ave. in Kalamazoo. Officials would never offer to meet potential clients at their home or any other public place.

The Diocese also suspended their Immigration Assistance Program in Hartford, Mich.

Immigration Assistance Program Office Hours:
Open Consultations Monday – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday – by appointment only during office hours
