KENTWOOD, Mich. — The Kentwood Police Department said a moped driver died after colliding with a car on Division Avenue S near Maplelawn Street S around 1:30 p.m.
The preliminary investigation shows that a car was driving south and made a left turn in front of the northbound moped.
The moped hit the car and the rider died from injuries sustained during the crash. Police said the moped driver was not wearing a helmet.
The Kentwood Police Department is still investigating the incident, and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
