UPDATE: Muskegon Heights police tell 13 ON YOUR SIDE one of the shooting victims from Sunday's shooting died on Monday at the hospital. He has been identified as 28-year-old Alton Williams. His family is working to donate his organs. The second victim, 30-year-old Shemar Webster is being treated for two gun shot wounds to the back.

Williams' girlfriend told police he had walked outside to buy weed when she heard gunshots.

The shooting remains under investigation.


MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. - Two people were shot in a parking lot at an apartment complex on E Summit Street in Muskegon Heights early Sunday, Dec. 2.

Muskegon Heights Police Chief Joseph Thomas said that the shooting stemmed out of a domestic dispute.

"It appears to be a domestic relationship that went bad," said Thomas.

The two victims survived the shooting; one was shot in the head and one was shot in the back.

Police are still investigating the incident.
