Ottawa County sheriff's deputies have identified a group of juvenile suspects in connection, after two churches were vandalized early on Sunday morning.
Over the past 24 hours, investigators received information from the public that led them to the suspects:
- 16-year-old boy of Georgetown Township
- 15-year-old girl of Georgetown Township
Investigators say the teens broke into the Georgetown Protestant Reformed Church and caused about $2,500 in damage.
Deputies believe the same suspects are responsible for vandalizing the Jamestown Christian Reformed Church on Sunday as well.
The teenagers remain in their parents custody right now. When the investigation is completed, the case will be turned over to the Ottawa County Prosecutors Office for charges.
