A number of West Michigan-based office furniture manufactures are preparing for NeoCon. That event starts Monday at Chicago's Merchandise Mart.
It's where manufactures gather every June to show off their latest lines of products. More than a dozen local manufactures will have showrooms at the event.
One of those companies is izzy+ from Spring Lake.
Designers there have a new height-adjustable table and screen platform named "Eli." It's an opportunity for manufactures to make an impression on potential customers from around the world.
"Guests at NeoCon, designers, customers, firms, come to NeoCon to be inspired, they come NeoCon to see new ideas," said Jeff Vredevoogd, izzy+ vice president of sales and marketing. "They have come to expect companies like izzy to have done their research, to have focused on the user, and to focus on people.
"We are a group of 150 people here at izzy that focus on people and so they want to come to, people expect to come to NeoCon to see new things, new thought, to be inspired, and that is exactly what we intend to do."
More than 50,000 people attend the event every year -- and it's not just furniture buyers, but interior designers and architects.
It runs June 12 through 14. For more information, click here.
