EAST LANSING - Michigan State University's executive associate athletic director and senior women's administrator will resign from her position effective July 1, the university said.
Shelley Applebaum, who joined the university in 1999, notified the university last week of her resignation, a university spokeswoman said.
In 2015, Appelbaum was appointed executive associate athletic director.
Prior to joining MSU, she worked as the senior associate athletic director and senior women's administrator at Bowling Green State University.
A message left seeking comment from Applebaum wasn't immediately returned.
In January, longtime Athletic Director Mark Hollis stepped down from his position. Bill Beekman, vice president and secretary of the Board of Trustees, was named interim athletic director.
