Sports teams and rock stars can fill Little Caesars Arena. Here's betting Michelle Obama can, too.
The former first lady will appear at the Detroit venue at 8 p.m. Dec. 11 as part of a 10-city U.S. tour for her upcoming memoir, "Becoming."
The announcement was made Wednesday by Live Nation and the Crown Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House. The tour will kick off in Obama's Chicago hometown on Nov. 13.
Obama also released a video on her official Facebook page Wednesday about the tour.
Tickets for Obama's Little Caesars Arena appearance will start at $29.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 21.
They can be bought at BecomingMichelleObama.com, 313Presents.com, LiveNation.com, Little Caesars Arena XFINITY box office and Ticketmaster.com. To charge tickets by phone, call 800-745-3000.
Starting now, you can register at the tour's Ticketmaster Verified Fan platform, which will let registered fans purchase tickets early from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 20.
There also will be a limited number of VIP meet-and-greet packages available at Ticketmaster.com.
"Becoming" is set to officially arrive in stores on Nov. 13.
