Waves crash into the St. Joseph Lighthouses in March 2017 in St. Joseph, Mich.

If you're planning on heading to the beach on Tuesday, be careful: The National Weather Service predicts a low pressure system will whip up waves as high as 10 feet along Lake Michigan's east coast tomorrow.

The high waves come after two boys drowned in Indiana over the weekend and just two weeks after another two people drowned and three were injured in the lake.

According to the weather service, the threat will be greatest in the evening but waves of 4 to 7 feet are expected in the afternoon. Piers could be swamped by some of these waves, the service said.

The affected areas range from St. Joseph to Manistee. The swim risk for these areas from noon on Tuesday to 8 p.m. Wednesday has been upgraded to high.
