GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Every Wednesday, we help you plan your weekend with Grand Rapids Kids — and there are several events to help you get out of the house this winter.

The Greater Muskegon Jaycees Snowfest is happening Saturday, Feb. 1. It's an all day event that features a chili cook-off, a cornhole tournament and sledding and more! The event takes place downtown Muskegon between 3rd and 4th streets and is free to attend. Find all the details online.

Also happening this weekend, the PBR Pendelton Whiskey Velocity Tour is coming to the Van Andel. The show is set for 7 p.m. and features two hours of pyro, music and intense bull riding action! Get your tickets on Ticketmaster.com.

There is also an event at the Meijer Gardens this Saturday, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., kids can see "Surviving in the Wild." It's a showcase featuring animals from the John Ball Zoo. Kids can get an up-close look at the survival techniques of animals like an opossum, ducks, salamanders and turtles. Reservations are required and can be made online at meijergardens.org/calendar or jbzoo.org.
